After 25 years of gardening with daylilies, creating new ones, speaking to daylily clubs across the US and Canada, and spreading the word about our favorite perennial, we find it time to retire to our rocking chairs and admire the sunset. Despite actively ‘downsizing’ these last few years, I find we still have about 500 different varieties in our sales beds. Because we intend to close the nursery to sales in the fall of 2020, we are offering EVERYTHING IN OUR CATALOG AT 50% OFF. That’s right, even new introductions will be half price. You may buy one plant or several, depending on how many are available. Nearly all the plants are clumps of 4 to 6 fans, there are no single fans, and no plants will be divided.
We are located between the Adirondacks of NY and the Green Mountains of VT, so are a good test for cold hardiness. Living in a solid zone 4 climate, we feel that if our daylilies do well here, you can be confident they will perform well in nearly any northern area, and even south through zone 7. We can begin shipping after April 15th, weather permitting. Because of the large plants, we will be charging a bit more for shipping outside the northeast.
For 2020 we will be open a limited number of weekends, Saturday and Sunday from 10-4. July 4 through August 16. If you wish to come at a different time, it is imperative that you first telephone (518-753-0356) or e-mail (northcountrydaylilies@gmail.com). You can come to the farm and select your daylilies while they are in bloom. We will dig them for you while you wait. This is by far the best way to select a daylily. Please e-mail for directions to the farm.
